About OSTP

The Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) is the primary agency responsible for planning and forming national science and technology policies in Taiwan. It is directly supervised by the Ministers without Portfolio of the Executive Yuan. The purpose of establishment is to:

  • Connect to the forward-looking trend of global science and technology.

  • Develop the strategies for future science and technology in Taiwan.

  • Propose key programs for national science and technology.
